This week was a busy one albeit great fun! I got all dressed up (well, as dressed up as I get - trainers and a tee) and headed down to London with my two lovely friends Lorraine from @willow&maine and Jules from @thehousethatworks for the Ideal Home Show. We took the red-eye down to Olympia and it was such a relief because going all the way to the Excel is such a pain.
The show was fantastic, perfect for consumers with loads of fun things to see and do. We even checked out the champagne bar, because, well, why not?! There were tons of foodie places to explore, including a pop-up restaurant by Greg Wallace. Although we only caught a glimpse of a cardboard cut-out of him, it was still pretty cool.
As interior designers, we didn't find as much as we'd hoped for, but we did stumble upon Lawrence Llewellyn Bowen's new collection, Carnaby, exclusively at SCS. It was definitely up my alley, and there were a few other interesting offerings as well. All in all, it was a great day out and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for some consumer inspiration!
Our next stop was at the Ivy for lunch, which was absolutely hilarious because we were cruising along in a black cab on our way to @anthropologieeu, when we suddenly spotted the Ivy and just had to yell "STOP" to the cabby! It turned out to be the perfect spot for lunch and we were absolutely thrilled with our decision.
I had the most delicious salmon fishcake for my starter, followed by a mouth-watering steak for my main course. And the best part? Including the wine, our bill came out to less than £40! Talk about happy days!
After that amazing meal, we went to @Anthroplogie and @libertys, as well as H&M Home, before making our way back to the station to catch our train back up to the north east. It was such a wonderful day full of inspiration and ideas for my mood boards this week. See you next week!
